More phosphorescent test

This glow in the dark Munny gives out visible glow for a short period of time after the incoming light source has been turned off. According to the mechanism of phosphorescent paints, the pigments in the doll contain fine crystals of zinc sulphide with copper added as an activator that allows the crystals to absorb light and slowly emit it over time.

Glows in the dark but...

Yes, my second Munny doll glows in the dark, however, I found out that the effect doesn't last too long.

A Tale of Two Brothers

2011 Yuri Endo

This is the story (history) of my object that I came up with....

Andy and Larry are 45 year-old identical twins who each mysteriously got trapped in an asexual baby-like body since 2 weeks before on their way home from their mutual friend's bachelor party.

Andy is a struggling comic book artist. As solitary recreations, he likes to dress up as comic characters and reflect on himself. He constantly contemplates various methods to get revenge on his ex-girlfriends without being caught.

Larry works at a creperie and dreams to be a woman one day. He doesn't like to talk much about several other wildest dreams he has, however, everyone knows that he is content with his current body states.

They are both currently single and reside with their parents. Their parents take their present situation optimistically and give them full supports.

More Munny sketches

Putting my sketches on this blog really does help me understand the structure of this object and simultaneously find out the peculiar points of my works.

A new set of Munny

2011 Yuri Endo

My second set of the Munny doll which is supposed to glow in the dark, came with a bunny hat, banana, television and pan turner. It might be challenging to project to an object that glows, however, I'm going to give a shot anyway.

Munny sketches

My first drawings of Munny. I will further work on sketching to understand its shape.

My projection buddy

2011 Yuri Endo

Since I last saw Munny, I couldn't stop thinking about it so I guess this is it. To my surprise, it came with a name tag, a teddy bear, an axe, a Clerk Kent like hair piece and a cape. Following my professor's word of wisdom, I'm planning on using an additional Munny doll in hopes of adding more details when 2 bodies project together.

Munny, the DIY kit

During my search for a spooky doll, I encountered this soft vinyl toy by Kidrobot. As you can see, it's a DIY kit for customizing your Munny doll and its face and body are conveniently blank.

Ideas: Projection objects

I have picked up some ideas for the projection object. I am still contemplating on which to choose depending on their sizes and textures. Frankly speaking, the idea of using a spooky doll and project various masks on it interests me the most.

Idea: Projection patterns

Taking advantage of my new obsession, Balaclavas (bandit hat) and Lucha libre masks, I would like to recreate various mask designs then project those on to an object.
